My Mirror can provide online psychology services to children aged 12 and above. If your child is between 12 and 15, there are a few additional steps to complete before their first session.
Step 1: Submit a minor consent form
Before your child's first session, a minor consent form must be completed and submitted to our team. Please reach out to us to request this:
Email: [email protected]
Phone: 02 9090 4730
A parent or guardian must also be present for the initial session.
Step 2: Create an account for your child
Create a new account using your child's name and Medicare details, along with your contact information as the parent or guardian.
Please note:
The same mobile number cannot be registered across multiple accounts. If you already have your own My Mirror account, you will need to use a different mobile number for your child's account.
This number will be used for session reminders and account verification.
Make sure your details are entered as the parent or guardian on your child's account.
Step 3: Find a suitable psychologist
My Mirror has a number of psychologists who specialise in working with children and young people. To help us find the best match, please share any specific concerns or topics you would like addressed when you submit the consent form.
Once we receive the form, we will send you profiles of suitable psychologists. You can also filter by the 12 to 17 age range in the psychologist directory to find an appropriate match.
If your child is under 12 years old, see our article My child is under 12 years old — can we use My Mirror?
