Why Choose Online Couples Therapy?

Every relationship faces ups and downs, and seeking guidance from a professional can provide valuable tools for improving communication, deepening connections, and resolving conflicts. With My Mirror’s online platform, you can access expert relationship support on your terms - flexible, convenient, and fully online.

Account Information

  • Primary account holder - The primary account holder is the lead partner who has initiated the couples therapy bookings.

    • Only the primary account holder can manage session bookings, reschedules, or cancellations.

    • Billing is linked to the primary account, including session and cancellation fees.

    • Session notes are securely stored on the primary account for reference.

  • Invitee - The partner who has been invited to link account with primary account holder in order to complete couples therapy session.

How It Works

  • Join from anywhere – Attend sessions together on the same device or join separately from different locations.

  • Secure & private – All sessions take place on our secure online platform, with no need for third-party tools.

  • Qualified psychologists – Work with psychologists experienced in relationship counselling.

  • Flexible scheduling – Book a time that suits both you and your partner, even outside of traditional office hours.

How To Book

Step 1: Choose Your Psychologist

The primary account holder (the partner initiating the booking) will start by selecting a psychologist. To do this, they can either:

  • Use the Get Matched tool to find a psychologist best suited to their relationship needs.

  • Visit the Our Psychologists tab on the My Mirror website, select the Couples Therapy drop down, and browse available professionals.

Step 2: Create or Log In to Your Account

After choosing a psychologist, the primary account holder will be prompted to:

  • Create a new My Mirror account, if they don’t already have one.

  • Log in to their existing account to proceed with booking.

Step 3: Invite Your Partner

The primary account holder will be guided to enter their partner’s details to send them a linking invite.

Step 4: Enter payment details

Primary account holder will then be guided to enter payment details for the session.

Step 5: Partner Accepts the Invite

The invited partner will receive an email with a link to create their own My Mirror account (or log in if they already have one).

  • The partner linking invitation will be active for 72 hours. If the partner accounts are not linked within this time, the primary account holder will need to re-initiate the linking process.

  • Both accounts must be linked within 72 hours of the session start time or the session will be automatically cancelled.

Step 6: Fast & Convenient Booking

Once accounts are linked, couples therapy sessions can be scheduled within seven days. My Mirror offers quick access to experienced psychologists, helping you work on your relationship without long wait times.

Step 7: Join Your Session

Attend sessions together on the same device or separately from different locations. Log in before your session and connect with your psychologist in a secure, private online environment.
