Does My Mirror accept Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) referral?
Updated this week

At My Mirror, we are committed to providing accessible mental health support to those who have served. If you have a DVA referral from your GP, you are eligible for blocks of 12 fully covered therapy sessions—no Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) required.

How to Use Your DVA Referral for Online Therapy

  1. Obtain a Referral – Your GP will provide you with a DVA referral for psychology sessions.

  2. Update Your Profile – Link your DVA number under the Medicare section of your My Mirror profile.

  3. Send Us Your Referral – Email your DVA referral to our Customer Service team at [email protected].

  4. We Take Care of the Rest – Once we receive your referral, we’ll organise the necessary coding so your sessions are covered, meaning you won’t have to pay anything out of pocket.

Important Information

  • Each DVA referral provides 12 fully funded sessions.

  • If more sessions are needed, you will need to return to your GP for a new referral.

  • When our customer service team receives your referral to provide your coding for sessions, they will assist you in choosing a suitable psychologist available for DVA sessions.

With My Mirror’s online therapy, you can access support from the comfort of your home, eliminating travel time and making it easier to prioritise your mental well-being.

If you have any questions or need assistance setting up your DVA-covered sessions, reach out to our team at [email protected].
